The coconut shell charcoal is the raw material required for the manufacture of activated carbon, briquette, furnace. The process of manufacturing coconut charcoal begins with uses the quality coconut shell. The shell charcoal is manufactured by burning shells of fully matured nuts in limited supply of air sufficient only for carbonization, but not for complete destruction. The output of charcoal in the traditional pith method is just below 30% yield. To obtain good quality charcoal, fully dried, clean, mature shells is recommended.

The process of manufacturing bamboo charcoal begins with uses the quality bamboo. The bamboo charcoal is manufactured by burning bamboo in limited supply of air sufficient only for carbonization, but not for complete destruction. The output of charcoal in the traditional pith method is just below 20-30% yield. The area of pores exceeds the surface area charcoal, reaching 300m2/g. Consequently, bamboo charcoal possesses high adsorption ability. The microbes epibiotic on the surface of charcoal molecules decompose the adsorbed matter thoroughly. The charcoal processed at high temperature (1000○C) releases far-infrared, produces anions and absorbs magnetic waves will obtain good quality of bamboo charcoal.
